Anthony Williams

Anthony was introduced to Roller Hockey by some of his friends who started skating at the local fun skating session at the local YMCA. A common route to starting Roller Hockey.

Anthony was 5 when he started playing. After a year playing outfield he had a go at being goalkeeper and found his position and a natural talent in goal and has never looked back.

Anthony has since been goal keeper for MRHC, Peterbough and Farnham. From 2014 Anthony has attended National England Training in Peterbough and in 2020\21 made the England reduced squad. In his time with England he has regularly travelled to Portugal for training and attended numerous Summer and Christmas training camps in the UK.

Anthony can be found passing on his knowledge to the younger goalies on a Tuesday at the YMCA and now trains with the Seniors on a Thursday at the same venue.

For the future Anthony is hoping he will be included in the England squad for the Europeans in 2022.
