Herne Bay started strong quickly using a set piece to put one past ‘the cat’. Maidstone came back strong with HC getting 2 shots on target but saved by GK. Herne Bay played a good passing game creating an opening that allowed them to get one past the cat. The next few goals scored in quick succession with Maidstone being caught out of position by a more experienced team. Two more on target by HC but just couldn’t pass the Herne Bay’s keeper. Once again the Bay came back finding the back of the net. 8-0 at half time. Maidstone held up the Bay and a break saw the next two goals in the back of Maidstone’s net. Maidstone called a much needed time out to regroup. A moment of chaos saw the ball in the back of the net. Two top saves from the cat kept Maidstone in the game. A superb goal from the Bay put another one on the board. GM got stuck in in a tussle in front of the goal, yet once more Maidstone came away without something to show for their efforts. A hard fought game with no subs saw the final score 13-0 to the Bay.

Farnhams interception earned them a goal in the first minute. The Cat made a crucial save for the first 2 sticks of the game. A quick counter attack from Farnham saw a well placed goal. A late tackle saw young GM get a card meaning the bare bones team down to 3 outfielders. The Cat saved the penalty but Farnhams attack was unrelenting. The Cat was forced to make a couple more crucial saves. Maidstone dug deep and defended well keeping a frustrated Farnham squad to 3-0. Maidstone kept possession before a well drilled Farnham squad with fresh legs took control. 5-0 at half time and tired legs for the Maidstone boys. A good team talk needed to get them fired up for the second half. A fast start with some fancy stick work saw a fast goal. A save from the Cat. Some great team play just couldn’t stop the Farnham onslaught. A shot from HC hit the post. The back of the eluding Maidstone. Some end to end play. With a superb save from the Cat. Time out called - what can the coaches do to inspire. Farnhams attack kept coming. Tired legs vs Farnhams fresh ones took their toll. With anxious parents and coaches willing for the final hooter. 15-0 final score.

Maidstone quickly went 5- 0 down. The scoreline didn’t reflect the effort the team made or the shots on goal they had which didn’t find the back of the net. Both GM and HC had chances. 2 near misses. Half time 10-0. A blue card and HC penalty finally saw Maidstone on the scoreboard. A re-energised team gave their all. The Cat was called to action making crucial saves. End to end play saw the match finish 12-1. Bruised but not broken. What an effort from all.

Maidstone started as the underdogs, facing a much stronger, more experienced team. Farnham started strong with the first goal saved by a deflection from HC. JCS, in goal was quickly under pressure. Farnham’s first goal from a well worked play. Another goal from Farnham came from a break, catching Maidstone out. Maidstone defended well despite being under intense pressure. A fancy piece of skating saw the ball in the back of the net for Farnham. Farnham, now full of confidence, attacked at full force. Maidstone made a break with IM getting a shot away on target. Saved by Farnham’s GK, leading to another break and goal 6 for Farnham. Second half ended with 11 goals for Farnham and Maidstone yet to get on the score sheet. Maidstone, despite the odds stacked against them showed resilience. A blue card showed Maidstone down to 3 outfield players, but they fought well preventing Farnham from scoring. JCS made a great penalty save stopping Farnham from pressing home their advantage. HC broke away and managed to get a shot on goal. GK read it well, making the save. Maidstone fought to the end, with JCS making 31 saves. Final score 14-0 to Farnham.

Strong start from the team with good defensive play and three saves on the hop from JCS. HBU got a goal but Maidstone came back with 3 shots on target but none getting past the HBU GK. HBU got a break resulting in a goal. Maidstone were then unlucky to concede a goal from a deflection following a great save from JCS. Maidstone then defended strongly until HBU managed to put one past JCSs head. Some end to end play took us to half time with the score 4-0 in HBUs favour. 13 saves from JCS kept the team in the match.
Despite some good attacking team play, HBU scored 2 more goals. JCS put in a hard shift in the later part of the half. Final score 10-0 to HBU.

First goal went to HB following a tussle in front of the goal. Some good team play earned HB their second goal. The team frustrated HB keeping the score to 3-0 at half time.
3 unlucky goals scored by HB. 4 minutes from the end of the game and HC got Maidstone on the scoreboard. This lit a fire under the team with EJ getting a shot at goal. Staunch defending from an exhausted team, with some outstanding performances, 24 saves from JCS.
